Nov 2, 2020 · Many of you asked if it was the cottage from the 2006 Nancy Meyers film, The Holiday. It is not (although there are similarities), as Rosehill Cottage from The Holiday sadly doesn’t exist, its exterior built from scratch in an empty field on a hillside overlooking the town of Shere.

Sep 4, 2023 · Although the Rosehill Cottage of the film doesn't exist in reality - the exteriors were built from scratch in a field and the interiors are sets - Honeysuckle Cottage in Holmbury St Mary (which was for sale in 2021 and is now available on Airbnb) provided inspiration for the crew who designed it.
- AMANDA’S SOUTHERN CALIFORNIA HOUSE. Amanda Woods, portrayed by the very funny and charming Cameron Diaz, owns a Los Angeles company that produces movie trailers.
- IRIS’ ENGLISH COUNTRY WORLD. Now that we’ve had a chance to visit Amanda’s spacious contemporary California house, let’s pop in on Iris’s idylic English country world.
- CORNWELL MANOR. Amanda and Graham (Iris’s brother) went on a quintessential romantic date starting with a drive through the charming English countryside and ending up at an old, stately mansion for a cozy lunch (see screenshots below)
- ARTHUR ABBOTT’S HOUSE. Arthur Abbott (portrayed by the charming Eli Wallach) is a sweet, distinguished 90-year-old gentleman living next door to Amanda.

May 11, 2023 · THE HOUSE IN THE MOVIE. While there were plenty of outside shots of Rosehill Cottage, many scenes also took place inside. The interior shots were all filmed on a Culver City soundstage in California. Director of Photography Dean Cundey was told not to take any wide shots on the sound stage.
