An old dark house murder mystery based on a tale by Edgar Wallace which casts Bernard Lee (M in the Connery Bonds) in the unlikely role of romantic lead. He's an undercover cop who pretends to be drunk for 95% of the movie and is a good screen drunk but a forgettable leading man.
