The rugged terrain of Tobyhanna State Park makes for challenging but rewarding hiking. All trails are blazed. Double blazes indicates a change of direction or a junction of two trails. Follow these rules for a safe hike: An adult should accompany children. Be sure to wear hiking boots.
A 135-site camping area is open from the second Friday in April to the third Sunday in October. Flush toilets, showers, and water spigots are provided in a central location. A playground is provided for children.

It's a great spot for boating and fishing. There is also a big sandy, sunny beach for lake swimming and day picnicking. Kayak rentals are $20 for an hour and the family who runs the boat rental facility is so nice.
