The University of Northern Colorado (UNC) is a public university in Greeley, Colorado. The university was founded in 1889 as the State Normal School of Colorado and has a long history in teacher education.
Students who are participating in the Colorado Department of Education’s ASCENT program and wish to attend UNC after their fifth year should apply to UNC as first-year students. If high school transcripts do not note ASCENT participation, students should inform the Office of Admissions of their participation in the program via email.
