Brian David Sicknick (July 30, 1978 – January 7, 2021) was born in New Brunswick, New Jersey, to Gladys and Charles Sicknick. He grew up in South River, New Jersey, as the youngest of three sons. According to his brother, they were "a non-traditional family, a blend of Jewish and Presbyterian," and celebrated Christmas and Hanukkah.
