Since then, they’ve won nine constructors’ championships and seven drivers’ titles, amassing 114 victories along the way.

Jan 23, 2023 · Williams Grand Prix Engineering were founded in 1978 by Frank Williams and Patrick Head and, in 1980, they took their first titles with Alan Jones at the wheel. The constructors’ crown came again in 1981 before Keke Rosberg sealed his first and only drivers’ title in 1982.
Mar 22, 2024 · But that decision laid the foundations for a new F1 team, Williams Grand Prix Engineering – now competing as Williams Racing – who debuted using a March chassis at the 1977 Spanish GP. Williams and Head would debut their first in-house car, the FW06, at the 1978 Argentine GP.
