Diabeł (English: The Devil) is a 1972 Polish historical film with elements of horror written and directed by Andrzej Żuławski. Released in 1972, it was banned by the Communist government in Poland. [1] [2] Plot. The movie opens immediately after the Second Partition of Poland in 1793, with the entry of Prussian troops into Greater Poland.
With Leszek Teleszynski, Wojciech Pszoniak, Malgorzata Braunek, Iga Mayr. During the Prussian army's invasion of Poland in 1793, a young Polish nobleman, Jakub, is saved from the imprisonment by a stranger who wants in return to obtain a list of his fellow conspirators.
