Bruno Ganz (* 22. März 1941 in Zürich; † 16. Februar 2019 in Au, Gemeinde Wädenswil [1] [2]) war ein international tätiger Schweizer Schauspieler. Ganz zählte zu den grössten Theater- und Filmschauspielern im deutschsprachigen Raum und war ab 1996 bis zu seinem Tod der Träger des Iffland-Ringes.

Feb 16, 2019 · Born in Zurich, Bruno Ganz was interested in acting from a very early age, showing interest in theatre in school. Starting in 1961, he worked almost exclusively on stage, founding an acting ensemble in 1970, and wining a prestigious theatre magazine’s Actor of the Year Award in 1973.
