British playwright Reginald Denham most often worked in collaboration with Edward Percy. The most famous of Denham and Percy's theatrical pieces was the psychological melodrama Ladies in Retirement, which was filmed twice by Hollywood, the first time in 1941 and the second (as The Mad Room) in 1969.
