    William Paul McCartney Samples (September 13, 1952 - January 2, 2024) was an Indian-born Canadian actor and voice actor.

    Samples made his acting debut in 1980, appearing as "Phillip Buster" alongside David Ferry and Catherine Mary Stewart in comedy film, Powder Heads. After lending his voice in animation comedy, Hooray for Sandbox Land, Samples was seen portraying "Art" in "Loud and Proud" episode of the television series, The Beachcombers. The same year he was seen as "Scott" in "One Last Prayer" episode of Deadly Nightmares and as "Lord Eckersley" in "Lord Eckersley" episode of Red Serge.

    Over the next few years, he appeared in a variety of television series including 21 Jump Street, Airwolf, Booker, Street Justice and Highlander. In the years 1994-1996, he lent his voice in 26 episodes of the Bob Forward-directed animation series, Action Man and 7 episodes of animation series, Hurricanes.

    In the late nineties, he was the voice behind the characters of "Tahei Hiraga," "Clifford Ferris," and "Butler" in the series Master Keaton and of "Chief Inspector Greyson" of the series Sherlock Holmes in the 22nd Century.

    In 2005, he landed the recurring role of "Serge" in Angus Fraser-directed television drama, Terminal City. He was seen in 8 episodes of the series. Two years later, in 2007, he was seen in the memorable role of "Judge #2" in two Crossroads episodes of Battlestar Galactica. In 2009, he was seen portraying the character of "Captain Jules Tarney" in the show's Islanded in a Stream of Stars episode.
