He also had a long Broadway career, appearing in plays from the 1912 original American production of George Bernard Shaw's Fanny's First Play to 1944's Song of Norway.
Biography. British actor born in Redhill, England on 20 September 1881. He began his career in London theaters then moved to New York and had a long career in Broadway. In the early 1930s, he moved to Hollywood, and his first major role was one The Pursuit of Happiness (1934).
