Oct 25, 2020 · According to recent court documents filed, TV Screenwriter Jeffrey Scott who worked on an array of children’s shows in the 80s including Spider-Man, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles and Hulk Hogan’s Rock ‘n’ Wrestling, has filed a lawsuit targeting Disney’s reboot of Muppet Babies.
Jeffrey Scott, a screenwriter on the original 2d-animated Imp Babies production, has lost a lawsuit targeting Disney’s recent reboot. It reputed that the new series infringed a production bible it created for the original, however the box where sunk by his own 2003 bankruptcy.
27. As it has aired new episodes of the Muppet Babies reboot, Disney has continued to interpolate Scott’s bible, the episodes he wrote, and the ideas he submitted in 2016, and to fail and refuse to compensate him and to accord him the “Developed for Television by” credit that Marvel promised him.
According to the complaint, Marvel Productions, Ltd., the venerable comic book company that is now owned by Disney, asked the writer to collaborate with Muppets creator Jim Henson in the early 1980s on Muppet Babies.
