Christ Church is unique among Oxford colleges in that its Head of House, who is head of both college and cathedral, must be an Anglican cleric appointed by the Crown as dean of the cathedral church. The Dean lives on site in a grand 16th-century house in the main quadrangle.
As well as co-funding the centre in Blackbird Leys together with the University of Oxford, Christ Church hosts IntoUniversity events in College, where pupils find out about university and Oxford from our current students and members of staff.

Oct 16, 2023 · The application process at the University of Oxford is the same whether you're applying to Christ Church or any other Oxford college. Your application must be made through UCAS (the Universities’ and Colleges’ Admissions Service ), even if you already hold an undergraduate degree. The next round of applications will be for entry in October 2024.
