He was fascinated by the work of film composers such as Bernard Herrmann and Franz Waxman, whose scores for classic Hollywood movies captivated him. Additionally, he was influenced by jazz, classical music, and the burgeoning rock and roll scene of the 1960s.
Mar 22, 2023 · He got his start at age 18, when he joined his brother Richard in French theatrical troupe Le Grand Magic Circus, playing the violin. Back in LA, he joined Richard’s performance group, The Mystic Knights Of The Oingo Boingo, later reforming it as the rock band Oingo Boingo.
