  1. Feb 23, 2015 · If you want to be nearer to Dublin, Gorey might be a better town to live in. Both Enniscorthy and Gorey are nice towns. Gorey probably has better shopping but both have good primary schools. New Ross is a lot further from Dublin. Wexford town is nice too, but is further from Dublin.

  2. Sep 5, 2019 · Enniscorthy is also close to Wexford town, and Waterford is 40 mins - soon to be 30 mins with the NR Bypass (November). Try to come to Enniscorthy for a long weekend if you can - really get a feel for the place....

    Although a visit to Enniscorthy in Wexford is fairly straightforward, there are a few need-to-knows that’ll make your visit that bit more enjoyable.

    Enniscorthy is the second largest town in County Wexford. There is very little knowledge about the origins of the name of the town but it’s thought to refer to the Island of Rocks or Island of Corthaidh.   3. Irish people are friendly enough after they get to know you. Food was relatively cheap and higher quality in some cases than in US. I lived in a 54 individual house development for retired (65) or disabled people less than 65 could also qualify. I was one of the first ones to rent in there.
