Well worth a visit for anyone with an interest in ancient Egypt, though their collections also include everything from the Egyptian neolithic right through to the early Islamic era. Read more Written February 12, 2012

If you haven't paid to enter the museum, it's worth visiting once. There are many art displays inside (several floors), a spooky labyrinth-like crypt your kids may enjoy walking through, and a chance to learn of Egyptian history and culture.
