So, I do think you should take the time to visit Castellammare del Golfo while in Sicily as it’s worth it, even for only one day. Castellammare is situated right up at the western end of Sicily’s north coast, sandwiched between Trapani and Palermo. These two big destinations easily overshadow the town and its 15,000 residents.

Nov 14, 2023 · Our visit to Castellammare del Golfo at the end of October left us completely enchanted. Nestled on the North West coast of Sicily, this delightful town captured a special place in our hearts. With its narrow roads to explore around the castle, pretty marina and amazing restaurants and pizzerias we couldn’t wish for anything more.
The best time to visit Castellammare del Golfo is during the shoulder season in spring (April to June) and fall (September to November) when the weather is mild, and there are fewer tourists. July and August are peak tourist season with high temperatures and crowded beaches.
Jan 11, 2024 · Castellammare del Golfo is 50 kms away from Trapani and 67 kms away from Palermo, but you don’t need to visit these two cities besides this village. Castellammare, in fact, offers fairly stunning places to enjoy a delicious Sicilian vacation.
