Temple Terrace is a city in northeastern Hillsborough County, Florida, United States, adjacent to Tampa. As of the 2020 census, the city had a population of 26,690.
- Busch Gardens Tampa Bay. Temple Terrace could hardly be closer to Busch Gardens Tampa Bay, one of the top amusement parks in Florida. I’m sure you already know, but if you need reminding, Busch Gardens has an African animal theme.
- University of South Florida. The main campus for Florida’s fourth-largest university is a couple of minutes from Temple Terrace. On more than 1,500 acres, USF has a student population of almost 50,000.
- Lettuce Lake Park. Just northeast of Temple Terrace the suburbs give way to a huge natural area on the floodplain of the Hillsborough River. You can get a sense of this environment without disappearing into the wilderness at Lettuce Lake Park.
- Eureka Springs Park. Hillsborough County manages this beautiful park a few minutes southeast of Temple Terrace. The story of Eureka Springs Park begins in the 1930s.
Temple Terraces Inc. developed the largest orange grove in the world in the 1920s, totaling 5,000 acres. (HSP) In 1924, Club Morocco was built, designed by architect Franklin O. Adams. It featured a large swimming pool, a dining area, an electric fountain, a casino, and a stage for concerts.

Feb 14, 2022 · The City of Temple Terrace was incorporated by a legislative act in May 1925, at the peak of the Florida land boom. By then, the agricultural development specializing in Temple oranges had a number of houses, as well as Temple Terrace Golf and Country Club, which hosted the first Florida Open golf tournament that year.
