   • Hendricks Park is a garden and a walking area with trails through old growth trees. On one side of the picnic area and across the road there is an area called the Rhododendron Garden with is filled with Rhododendron, but we were there in September so only one of them was blooming a little bit.

   Is Hendricks Park free?

   • Admission is free and once in the park, parking is free but somewhat limited. Hendricks park is nestled in an evergreen forest and there is a very large Rhododendron garden that is quite beautiful in the summer time and is the parks main attraction. As mentioned the roads are narrow and somewhat steep so I don't consider them good walking paths.

   Hendricks Park is a Eugene gem, and a beautiful place to visit any time of the year. April and May are prime time to visit the gorgeous rhodedendron gardens. It is also a lovely place for a picnic, or a hike along the numerous forested trails. It is a peaceful place, with towering Douglas Fir Trees.
