Summaries. The crew of a commercial spacecraft encounters a deadly lifeform after investigating a mysterious transmission of unknown origin. In the distant future, the crew of the commercial spaceship "Nostromo" is on its way home when the crew picks up a distress call from a distant moon.
Plot. The commercial space tug Nostromo is returning to Earth with a seven-member crew in stasis: Captain Dallas, Executive Officer Kane, Warrant Officer Ripley, Navigator Lambert, Science Officer Ash, and engineers Parker and Brett. The ship's computer, Mother, detects a transmission from a nearby moon and awakens the crew.
