- Barnim X, or according to another account Barnim XII (15 February 1549, in Wolgast – 1 September 1603, in Szczecin) was a duke of Pomerania and a member of the House of Griffins. He administered from 1569, the Rügenwalde district. From 1600 until his death, he ruled in Pomerania-Stettin.

In 1264, Barnim I, Duke of Stettin, had unified duchies of Pomerania-Stettin and Pomerania-Demmin, re-establishing the Duchy of Pomerania. [2] The state was again formed in 1295, in the partition of the Duchy of Pomerania, with Otto I as its ruler.

Bogislaw XIII (Bogusław XIII) of Pomerania (9 August 1544 – 7 March 1606, Stettin; Polish: Szczecin), son of Philip I and Maria of Saxony, was a prince of Stettin and Wolgast, and a member of the Griffins.
After the schism divided Western Christianity in the early 16th century, the Pomeranian dukes converted to Lutheranism (1534). The peak development of the duchy took place in the last hundred years of its existence (the reign of duke Bogislaw X, John Frederick, Barnim XI and Philip II). Bogislaw XIV was the last Griffin ruler.
