  6. Feb 20, 2010 · If I recall correctly, Marc Eliot's book says Randy Meisner was compelled to resign after a backstage dust-up on the 1977 tour when he refused to sing "Take it to the Limit". That was one of the precipitants behind his decision to leave, but he wasn't "compelled" to leave. Both he and Leadon voluntarily quit.
