Stadio Diego Armando Maradona, formerly known as Stadio San Paolo, is a stadium in the western Fuorigrotta suburb of Naples, Italy. It is the fourth largest football stadium in Italy, after Milan's San Siro, Rome's Stadio Olimpico and Bari's San Nicola. For the 1960 Summer Olympics in Rome, the stadium hosted the football preliminaries.

Dec 4, 2020 · The Naples city council unanimously approved the change of name from Stadio San Paolo to Stadio Diego Armando Maradona. “Napoli is delighted about today’s decision,” the club said in a brief online statement. Maradona died last week aged 60 in his native Argentina.
