Brighton is a town in Monroe County, New York, United States. The population was 37,137 at the 2020 census.
Named by William Billinghurst for his home in England, Brighton stretched from the Genesee River on the west to Irondequoit Bay and Penfield on the east, from Lake Ontario on the north to the Henrietta town line.
