Canton is a town in Norfolk County, Massachusetts, United States. The population was 24,370 at the 2020 census. Canton is part of Greater Boston, about 15 miles (24 kilometers) southwest of Downtown Boston .

Canton, MA was incorporated in 1797 when it separated from the Town of Stoughton. Yet, its history began long before then. Its location along the Neponset River and in the shadow of the Great Blue Hill provided Native Americans with vast hunting and fishing grounds.

One of the oldest houses in America, the David Tilden House, has stood in Canton for nearly 300 years. This city is home to the headquarters of Reebok and Computershare as well as New England’s biggest coffee love affair, Dunkin’ Donuts.
