    Cheltenham is on the edge of the Cotswolds, an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty in the South-West region of England. The small River Chelt flows under and through the town. Cleeve Hill, overlooks the town and is the highest point in the county of Gloucestershire and the Cotswold Hills range, at 1,083 feet (330 m).

    • Montpellier District. In the southern part of Cheltenham’s town centre, the Montpellier District is the poshest part of a well-to-do town.
