Crankstart focuses on root causes of economic disenfranchisement, particularly in low-income communities of color hurt by generational poverty. Crankstart - Current Scholars. Since its inception in 2012, the Crankstart Scholarship has supported over 3,200 students from across the University, from all subject areas and colleges.
