It is part of Helsingør Municipality and is located 12 km northwest of Helsingør, and is mainly known for its fashionable holiday homes and broad sandy beaches.

Whilst there are things to do in Hornbaek, this tiny seaside town is better suited to lazy beach days, a coffee in the sun, and enjoying the sunset with a vino. We found the locals in Hornbaek particularly friendly, another highlight of our stay in Denmark as a whole!
Sep 22, 2018 · Hornbaek is a lovely small village easily reachable from Copenhagen via train, changing at Helsingor. There are lots of picturesque thatched houses and a small marina (and a Netto to buy your beach snacks).
