Kim F. Coates (born February 21, 1958) [1] is a Canadian-American actor who has worked in both Canadian and American films and television series. He has worked on Broadway portraying Stanley Kowalski in A Streetcar Named Desire and in the lead role of Macbeth performed at the Stratford Festival .
The versatile actor is most famous for his portrayal of ‘Alexander "Tig" Trager’ in the long-running crime series ‘Sons of Anarchy’. He later appeared in the Canadian television show ‘Bad Blood,’ which earned him further popularity as a small screen star.
Kim's film career began in 1991 with The Last Boy Scout. Two Warner Brothers' hits followed: Innocent Blood and The Client. Since that time he has starred in over forty films, including Academy Award winners Black Hawk Down directed by Ridley Scott, and Pearl Harbor directed by Michael Bay.
