     The google.maps.LatLng() function doesn't take string parameters. It takes the following parameters:

     lat : numberlng : number noWrap : boolean // Optional-

     This is documented here: https://developers.google.com/maps/documentation/javascript/reference#LatLng

     You could store the latitude and longitude this way:

     var location = { lat: 62.446026, lng: 17.331340 };var imageDriver = 'marker.png';var DriverLatLng = new google.maps.LatLng(location.lat, location.lng);var driverMarker = new google.maps.Marker({ position: DriverLatLng, map: map, icon: imageDriver,

     There doesn't seem to be a way to pass text to the url that I can see right now with the new URL. I will try and work this API into or program. If anyone else needs to do this, google maps has an API that will allow text and the marker.

     Recently, in May 2017, Google launched the new Google Maps URLs API. You can read about this API in the official documentation

     https://developers.google.com/maps/documentation/urls/guide

     So, from now on you can construct a URL for Google Maps using the place ID. In your particular case this URL will be

     https://www.google.com/maps/search/?api=1&query=Google&query_place_id=ChIJN1t_tDeuEmsRUsoyG83frY4

     I just did a quick test and the following code worked on my test page:

     var polyline = new GPolyline([ new GLatLng(37.4419, -122.1419), new GLatLng(37.4519, -122.1519)], "#ff0000", 10);map.addOverlay(polyline);GEvent.addListener(polyline, 'click', function() { alert('you clicked polyline');});

     The way to tell what version of google maps you have is to look at the v= parameter of the google maps src url you have

     In this case I have "v=2", that means I am using the latest stable 2 version, which supports clickable polylines (as of today 2.101 is the most recent release). "v=2.x" means you are using an edge release. And any "v=2.5" where the anything after the period (.) is a number refers to a specific release
