  4. Custom Number paints are displayed to users who have opted in to display paints without iRacing-stamped numbers, and in some Hosted Racing sessions depending on the host’s settings. Custom Number paints can only be assigned to your account if you’re an active Trading Paints Pro member.

  5. Trading paints is basically just an overlay that appears once you are in the simulator. Your normal iRacing paint that you set in the UI will still show up underneath essentially, and anyone who doesn’t have Trading Paints installed will just see that.

  6. Just make an account and browse the showroom for paints that you want on your cars. You add them to your library and when you run the trading paints application on your computer, you and everyone else who is running trading paints can see your new paint job.

  8. If I were to guess, I'd say a majority of drivers are using Trading Paints, even if they don't use custom liveries themselves. It has become one of those almost mandatory 3rd party add-ons (like Crew Chief).
