The train offers an excellent view of the natural scenery and wildlife of the national park and an opportunity to learn about the history of the railroad in valley. The train runs through Cuyahoga Valley National Park with stations from Independence to Akron. Duration: 2-3 hours.

Nov 6, 2023 · The Cuyahoga Valley Scenic Railroad is nestled in the heart of Northeast Ohio, within the lush landscapes of the Cuyahoga Valley National Park. The scenic railroad extends for 26 miles (42 km), from Akron to Cleveland.
The Peninsula Depot will be open 9:00 a.m. – 1:40 p.m. and Akron will be open 9:00 a.m. — 3:00 p.m. on days the National Park Scenic train ride is running.
The National Park Scenic is approximately 2 hours hours round trip. Events on the Cleveland Dinner and Event Train and Family Fun Loop are approximately 2 hours round trip. Other seasonal events vary in duration.
