James Bond is a fictional character created by British novelist Ian Fleming in 1953. A British secret agent working for MI6 under the codename 007, Bond has been portrayed on film in twenty-seven productions by actors Sean Connery, David Niven, George Lazenby, Roger Moore, Timothy Dalton, Pierce Brosnan and Daniel Craig.

Guy Hamilton (born 16 September 1922 – 20 April 2016) was an English film director best known for directing the James Bond movies Goldfinger, Diamonds Are Forever, Live and Let Die, and The Man with the Golden Gun.
Guy Hamilton was the second director in the James Bond series. He took over from Terence Young to direct Goldfinger, and later returned for Diamonds are Forever, Live and Let Die and The Man with the Golden Gun.
He went on to direct three more Bond films: "Diamonds Are Forever" (1971), "Live and Let Die" (1973), and "The Man with the Golden Gun" (1974). Hamilton's influence on the Bond series was pivotal.
