The game works almost the same as other Tower defense games. To defend from incoming enemies, you place down or upgrade towers in your loadout using money. You can get money by killing an enemy, completing a wave, or by earning it from special towers such as Bellma (Money Corp), Salesman, Lami (Wuno) andWish, (refer to Support Units for the rest). ...
Evolving is something that you do to make a tower you have into a stronger one. However, evolving requires secondary characters, which can be obtained from the Gold Summon or by earning them from story mode missions, gold banner, and raids. Secondary characters are not meant for use in missions, story mode or infinite mode.
Summoning allows you to obtain towers, while the Gold Summon gives towers mainly used to evolve troops used in missions, gem summons are used to get towers that are meant to be used in missions, and special summons which use stardust to summon for limited units that can often evolve into 7 stars. There are different star ratings for each tower, although just because one tower has a higher rating than another, that doesn't mean it is better. For example, Future T, a 4-star is better than Killer (Lightspeed), a 5-star. On the the X and Y banner, there is always one 5 star, 2 4 stars, and 3 3 stars. The Z banner has 1 6 star, 2 5 stars, and 3 4 stars. The W banner is just random characters that have the water enchant.
The Banner is a place where new units appear every hour, there are 3 types of banners that offer the types of units below:
•3-star percentage rates: 30%, 27% and 25% in banner X and 27%, 25% and 23% in banner Y
•4-star percentage rate: 8% in banner X and 10% in banner Y
•5-star percentage rate: 2%
•6-star percentage rate 1%
5⭐= 2%
4⭐= 4%
3⭐= 25%, 25% and 23%
banner Y is a banner unlocked by beating the Ant Kingdom story mode, this banner is the same as Banner X but has better units appearing
Towers can be placed almost all around the map, however some units can only be placed on the ground, while others must be placed on high ground.
