  5. I've heard that Romancing the Stone is considered a ripoff of Raiders of the Lost Ark but I never really saw it that way. It may be capitalizing off the Adventure genre that Raiders popularized again but I thought it was a very different movie overall. Obviously the popularity of this movie allowed Robert Zemeckis to make Back to the Future.
