The geographical placement of El Centro makes it a popular destination for driving buggies while exploring the dunes. But aside from that, there are several things you can still do while in this city.
El Centro is a relatively safe city. However, it's best to avoid areas east of 4th Street and north of Adams Avenue after dark. These areas are often filled with desperate characters and there isn't very much to see there anyway.
