With this project, Ross attempted to do for the Roasts what Lin-Manuel Miranda did for Broadway with Hamilton: teach audiences history through witty and entertaining art. As a concept, this show is both ingenious and extremely difficult. It could be great...or really bad. Unfortunately, the series fell somewhere in the mediocre.
