  1. WOW! Climax is absolutely brilliant artsy film! I was certainly horrified by the film considering it’s based on a real incident in France. This movie is set in 1996. So, what’s it about? Someone puts a hallucinogenic drugs (LSD) in drinks, everyone drinks it and then the nightmare begins. It's well shot, well directed, good scenario.

  3. Climax- 3.5/4. I Stand Alone- 3/4. Love- 2/4. With that said this is essentially Noe's most accessible work, next to Love. But unlike Love this is one of his most compelling films. This is also surprisingly one of his most tame and restrained films.

Theory 1:In the end after police arrive, we are shown that Psyche is alone inside a room, dropping some kind of drug in her eyes. If you pay close attention, there is also a book in her room titled “LSD Psychotherapy”. Now, this could be a big clue that Noe left for the viewers. Did Psyche put the PSD in the sangria to experiment on how the group r...

While I am sure many will be repulsed by the film, I was engrossed right till the end. Initially by the captivating dance routines — magnificently choreographed and amazingly well-shot — and later by the sheer madness that ensues. Noe surely was in an experimental mode — as he always is — when he made the film, but little must he have known that hi...
