Last Train from Gun Hill is a 1959 American Western film in VistaVision and Technicolor, directed by John Sturges. It stars Kirk Douglas, Anthony Quinn and Earl Holliman. Douglas and Holliman had previously appeared together in Sturges' Gunfight at the O.K. Corral (1957), which used much of the same crew.
Director John Sturges' Western thriller Last Train from Gun Hill (1959) is immediately brutal starting with the senseless rape and murder of an innocent Native American woman.

This movie is really one of the god old classical Westerns telling the story of two brave men confronting each other. No special effects, no aliens, no choleric outbursts and no foul-mouthed brats. It was really enjoyable to watch Kirk Douglas and Anthony Quinn in this movie.
Last Train from Gun Hill begins with the brutal rape and murder of a young Indian woman (Ziva Rodann) by two drunken cowthugs, Rick Belden (Holliman) and his loyal friend Lee Smithers (Brian G. Hutton). But the woman isn't alone; her young son witnesses the initial assault, and escapes on Holliman's horse.
