Rosenberg is a city in the U.S. state of Texas, within the Houston–The Woodlands–Sugar Land metropolitan area and Fort Bend County. Rosenberg was named for Henry Von Rosenberg, who emigrated to Texas from Switzerland in 1843.
Notice of 2023 Adopted Tax Rate. The City of Rosenberg adopted a tax rate of $0.342364 per $100 valuation for tax year 2023 (fiscal year 2024). This tax rate will raise more taxes for maintenance and operations (M&O) than last year’s tax rate.
Rosenberg was the first president of the Gulf, Colorado, and Santa Fe Railroads and was a very wealthy railroad tycoon. Later in life, Mr. Rosenberg became a philanthropist and upon his death on May 12, 1893, he left his wealth to many charitable organizations.
