- Clifford Roberts, a co‐foUnder and for 43 years chairman of the Masters golf tournament, was found dead yesterday at the Augusta (Ga.) National Golf Club, apparently a victim of a self‐inflicted gunshot wound. Mr. Roberts, 84 year‐s old, had suffered a stroke earlier this year.
