Intrada Records has announced the world premiere release of the unused original score by Jerry Goldsmith ( Star Trek: The Motion Picture, The Omen, Planet of the Apes, Patton, Air Force One, The Mummy) from the 1992 crime thriller The Public Eye directed by Howard Franklin and starring Joe Pesci, Barbara Hershey, Stanley Tucci and Jerry Adler.

May 17, 2017 · It's with some irony that Ridley Scott has not only been effusive about Goldsmith's music in retrospectives, but his main theme appears in Jed Kurzel's score for “Alien: Covenant” far more than it does in the 1979 film. Goldsmith would in fact go through the same process once again with Scott for the 1986 dark fairytale “Legend.”.
I think the previous most recent non-Varese Goldsmith score to get expanded was The Edge (also by LLL). Yavar P.S. I should also make note of LLL's excellent reissue of The Blue Max. While Intrada's issue of several years ago was the complete score, LLL has added some missing source music and the CD premiere of Goldsmith's original album ...
