An inventory checklist template should include all the basic information discussed above (i.e. product name, SKU number, etc.).

    • Setting Up Your Log Book: Create rows and columns inside your inventory log book. There should be one row for each type of product you are selling. Label each row with the name of the product for which you are tracking inventory.
    • Filling Out Your Log Book: Document in the “Original Count” column the number of items received in your original order. Document in the “Expiration Date” column the expiration date for each product.
