- Check out the Plaza de Armas & Centro Histórico. The Plaza de Armas is the heart of Lima, located smack in the middle of the city’s historic center, also known as the Centro Histórico.
- Visit the Basílica y Convento de San Francisco. Just a few-minutes walk from La Plaza de Armas (and still within the historic center) you’ll find the beaut iful Basílica y Convento de San Francisco.
- Explore Miraflores and Barranco. Miraflores and Barranco are two of the best neighborhoods to explore on foot in Lima. Especially on a beautiful, sunny day.
- Eat at La Lucha Sanguchería Criolla (in Miraflores) When it’s time to have a deliciou s lunch in Lima, La Lucha Sanguchería Criolla is the place to go… The long line of people waiting in line will be a pretty good indicator too!
- Rent a Bicycle and Ride Around Lima. There is probably no better way to see Lima than by bicycle. If you check the city out on a map you’ll see that it is an extensive network of neighbourhoods and districts that tie all of Lima’s culture together.
- Enjoy a Casual Walking Tour of the City. If you are wondering what to see in Lima, the best way to explore is by foot. Lima is a big city. But if you pick any of the districts in the city in which to explore you can make a great time of walking around the various colourful neighbourhoods.
- Hike/Bike to the Top of El Morro Hill for Panoramic View of Lima. One of the best things to do in Lima is to climb to the top of El Morro Hill, known commonly as Morro Solar.
