I thought I would continue my series of posts about private universities outside US News' T50, what makes them great, and the amazing opportunities they offer top students with this hidden gem of a school in North Carolina's Piedmont region which emphasizes active and experiential learning: Elon! Elon University.
The only bad thing is that some of the teachers from before Elon became a great school still teach there and are bad. The new teachers are great. Students are involved, classes are engaging, and they apply to the real world (it is not just busy work). We do a lot of group work and projects, and the teachers are very involved.
Elon is great for students that care about more than grades but are still willing to work, want to succeed, make changes for the better and overall, be happy. Marisa Elon is a great place for leaders and for energetic hands-on learners who are determined to make a difference.
