Fremont is a census-designated place in northwestern Wayne County, Utah, United States. It lies along State Route 72 just northeast of the town of Loa, the county seat of Wayne County. To the north is Fishlake National Forest. Fremont's elevation is 7,218 feet (2,200 m). [2]
The park is 180 miles south of Salt Lake City; 21 miles southwest of Richfield on Interstate 70; and 17 miles east of Cove Fort. Hours vary by day and season, but the museum is generally open from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. or 6 p.m. during the summer. Day-use entry fee required, purchase in-person or online.

During the construction of Interstate 70, the largest known Fremont Indian village was uncovered. This museum preserves treasures from the site, including pottery, baskets, and arrowheads.
