Coordinates: 41.966150°N 91.661894°W. The National Czech & Slovak Museum & Library ( NCSML) is a museum and library of Czech and Slovak history and culture located in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, in the United States. Established in 1974, the museum and library moved to its present site in 1983.
Members of the National Czech & Slovak Museum & Library receive admission to our exhibits, subscriptions to our biannual journal (Slovo) and our bi-annual newsletter (MOST), enrollment in our Time Travelers Program (including benefits at 100+ museums), and access to members-only events.
Our Vision. NCSML is an innovative leader in lifelong learning, community building, and cultural connections. We encourage self-discovery for all ages so that the stories of freedom, identity, family, and community will live on for future generations. The NCSML was accredited by the American Alliance of Museums in November of 2008.
