In mid-June, though, Bill Hicks learned he had cancer. He only told his family, close friends and Colleen McGarr (then his fiancée), and after only a few days in hospital he left to do a gig. Hicks worked fast with producer Kevin Booth, all guns blazing in the angriest of shows, recording two albums worth of material.
