- Norman Macleod (born June 3, 1812, Campbeltown, Argyllshire, Scot.—died June 16, 1872, Glasgow) was an influential liberal Presbyterian minister of the Church of Scotland who took advantage of the controversy over church reform during 1833–43 to implement policies advocated by the Free Church of Scotland (which seceded in 1843) while yet remaining within the mother church.
