Feb 12, 2015 · Riker is my favorite. He is almost as awesome as Captain Picard. According to Q (when he appeared the first time in Voyager) if it hadn't been for Commander Riker, the Federation would have been assimilated by the Borg. So... I agree with what others have said about Kira. She was hard to take the first few seasons.
